Microblading FAQ
What is microblading?
Eyebrow Microblading has been around for a long time but has recently become a wildly popular beauty procedure. Also known as eyebrow tattooing or semi permanent makeup, microblading is done using a very fine blade to deposit pigment into the epidermis creating natural looking hair-like strokes.
How long is the procedure?
The whole process takes about two hours. The first hour is to measure, stencil, and wax the brows to get the perfect shape. That’s the longest part and the most important step. During this time, the best customized shape for every client is chosen. The second hour is for microblading which can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour plus. However, I highly recommend making the consultation appointment in which your brows can be waxed or threaded and if needed, tinted to get an idea of your ideal shape. Should you choose not to go ahead with the procedure there will be cost involved for the threading, tinting or waxing process.
Do I need to get a touchup?
Yes. You will lose some colour after your first appointment and will need to come back for a touchup 6-8 weeks later to perfect the colour and shape.
How long does microblading last?
The results can last anywhere from 8 - 24 months depending on skin type and other factors like sun exposure, skin care products etc.
Does it hurt?
Before the microblading begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort, however more sensitive clients may feel a slight discomfort.
